How to celebrate Rakhi- Raksha Bandhan?

The Hindu families celebrate Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan by doing pooja, pray and with lots of fun. Sisters ties colorful Rakhi (sacred thread) on brother's right hand wrist, exchange the gifts, mouth watering sweets. People go to temples and wear new clothes. The brothers generally prefer traditional outfits like Kurta-Jeans, Kurta-Payjama, Pathan Suits etc on the Holy Rakhi day. The married sisters mostly wear designer sarees with heavy or little zari or zardozi work and jewelry. The unmarried sisters prefer to wear salwar-kurties, chudidaar-kurta, parellels-short kurtas etc.
